Career Day at Slam North School. On April 19th, 2024, we had the great opportunity of participating in this wonderful experience with High School Students in Coral Gables. Showing them all about a path career about Circus Arts. At Ladd Miami Circus Arts Center, we are committed to encourage in our students beliefs. We look forward to welcome more youth students to this art world.

Soirée des Arts Special: Sideshow

Once Again Contemporary Circus Takes Over Miamiwith a unique Performing Arts event where a riveting mix of circus, theater, dance, vocalists, acrobats and moment of pure grace yielding to rushes of adrenaline and staggering virtuosity from artists from local and internationally acclaimed artists.

Les Ailes du Desir Foundation will host their legendary Soirée des Arts on September 4th, 2024 at 7PM at Trail Theater in Coral Gables, the City Beautiful. This unique show experience will transport you into a timeless venue which tells the story of the cross fates of characters where the cast welcome the audience into an evening filled with elegant mischievously guided by a diva acting like no other making the night memorable through live musicians, a fusion of cirque, magic, acrobats into an evening of artistic celebration of the beauty and sensuality tastefully done.

Aerial Duo Trapeze Workshop

Acrobatic Duo Trapeze Masterclass

Join us for a 20-hour Aerial Duo Masterclass where we will learn, refine and master duo trapeze specific techniques, learn the basics of connecting skills while enhancing artistic exploration. As well as acquiring a variety of new skills, you will be encouraged to push your creative boundaries and discover a unique vocabulary to flow seamlessly with your aerial duo partner.

Here are some insights into a typical training session:

· General activation & specific warm-up on trapeze

· 90 to 120 minutes dedicated to technical work which involves duo specific exercises & drills

· Refine basics & existing vocabulary, create new sequences, aerial flow work, technical exploration

· 30 to 60 minutes of artistic research

· Specific conditioning & flexibility work

Prerequisites

Level: Intermediate // Advanced Levels

· Excellent physical condition

· Extensive aerial or acrobatic experience

· Porters are comfortable in the catcher’s position for long periods of time

· Flyers have great core strength

Biography

Marie-Christine Fournier possesses 16 years of extensive experience in the circus industry as a trapeze artist. She toured over a decade for Cirque Du Soleil and collaborated with world-renowned companies such as the 7 Fingers and Cirque Eloize, allowing her to develop a wide range of technical, artistic and methodological skills.

Over the past few years, Marie-Christine earned a Circus Arts Teacher Certification from the Montreal National Circus School and has built an exciting teaching portfolio. She has been teaching masterclasses, workshops and retreats around the world from North America, throughout Europe and Latin America to Circus arts passionate students to professional circus artists.

Thanks to her personal journey and unique life experiences, she is thrilled to share her technical knowledge with her students but also a deeper and more enriching understanding of the world of circus arts, which she enthusiastically shares in her workshops.

Intensive Summer Camp 2024

The beautiful Coral Gables Museum, was the venue for hosting our last showcase. Our students from the Intensive Summer Camp 2024, performed the best circus art acts, showing the what have learned and improved during the camp. Looking forward for our next year group of students.
