Safety Rules and Policies

Safety is paramount at LADD Miami Circus Arts Center. There's an inherent risk in all physical activities, especially within the Circus Arts where the risks can be mitigated, but not completely removed.

All members and students are expected to abide by the Safety Rules and Policies within our facility. Failure to comply with these rules may result in dismissal from class or Open Gym, forfeiture of any fees paid, and/or being banned from the facility.

There are no stupid questions: If you have a question on how something works within our facility, please ask a coach or staff member!

No spectators are allowed in the gym.

At the end of your session, you'll exit through the designated gym door. Never re-enter the lobby. If you have questions, please ask the staff in the gym or call the gym phone number.

Parents/Guardians

To minimize disruptions to the class learning environment, Parents/Guardians can enter the gym to view their children’s last 10 minutes of class and must remain in the designated waiting area.

Registration

  • All members and students must maintain up-to-date registration information and sign a waiver. New students: please arrive 10 minutes early to check-in and prepare for class or register before-hand on our Online Registration Page.
  • You may sign up for classes online or in our online mobile application. If a class has reached capacity, we will be unable to accommodate drop-ins, so we encourage you to sign up online.
  • Everyone must check-in at the reception desk on entry to the facility.
  • Tardiness: students must be in their assigned class no later than the 10 minutes after class has started. This means that no student will be admitted after 10 minutes into the class and will forfeit payment for that class.
  • LADD MCAC reserves the right to cancel any program/class due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. The schedule and teachers are subject to change. We try to notify participants as early as possible.
  • Check the minimum age for a class. As we offer kids and adult classes, we don't permit kids joining adult classes or adults joining kids classes. We offer private classes for all ages.
  • All classes, privates, events and parties are non-refundable, non-transferable, and must be used toward a class that is held on or before the expiration date.

Cancellation

  • Cancellations for classes and private lessons must be made at least 12 hours in advance (online) to be eligible for a credit to your account.
  • Registration for courses is non-refundable.

Refund Policy

  • All sales are final. We do not refund purchases back to credit cards, only back to client accounts for use at either another time or to make a different purchase.

General Safety Rules and Policies

  • LADD MCAC reserves the right to deny participation of students and members with certain injuries, health conditions, or behavioral issues (especially bullying behaviour). This includes students or members not following LADD MCAC policies, reckless behavior, or appearance of working past the point of exhaustion.
  • Parents are only allowed in the gym during the last 10 minutes of their child's class.
  • Students are permitted in the gym 10 minutes before their class for warm-up. For classes requiring an apparatus for warm-up, the warm-up routine is built into the beginning of the class.
  • Students are only permitted on the apparatus during their scheduled class.
  • Students must use caution and follow instructions for their own safety, and that of others. Reckless behavior will result in dismissal from class and forfeiture of payment.
  • LADD MCAC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, or illicit drug use is not allowed or tolerated at LADD MCAC.
  • Filming or photography is permitted for personal training documentation. For safety of everyone, no flash photography is permitted. No filming or photography is permitted for commercial purposes. For commercial filming and photography options, please contact us.

Aerial Attire & Safety

  • Students want to wear comfortable, form-fitted clothing that stays in place during inversions, drops, and rolls. No jewelery should be worn and long hair should be tied back. No clothing with buckles, zippers, or large buttons should be worn.
  • Aerialists are required to have a mat (at least 8" crash mat) under them each time their feet leave the ground. If an instructor sees a student acting any way the instructor sees as unsafe the student will be asked to stop or even leave the facility.

Trampoline Attire & Safety

  • Students want to wear comfortable, form-fitted clothing that stays in place during inversions, jumps, and spins. No jewelery should be worn. No clothing with buckles, zippers, or large buttons should be worn. Trampoline shoes or trampoline socks need to be worn — NO STREET SHOES are permitted.
  • Only one person at a time on each trampoline.

Open Gym / Independent Training

  • Open Gym is not for coaching others or soliciting the coaching of others. If you are found coaching other members of Open Gym, you will be asked to leave without refund. This is to keep everyone safe and following our safety protocols for coaching. If you're interested in coaching at LADD MCAC, please let us know and we can see if we're a good fit!
  • Certain areas may be unavailable during group classes, special events, or private sessions. These other gym functions have priority over independent training, so please inquire at the reception on check-in about the best areas to train.
  • Only one person at a time on the trampoline.
