ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Flying Pole: Dynamic pole technique focused on momentum, controlled spins, inversions, drops, and fluid transitions. You will explore how to generate “flight” on the pole through power, timing, and grace, while integrating ballet lines and contemporary circus artistry. Suitable for all levels. All participants will leave with new tricks, improved strength, and enhanced performance quality.
ABOUT KATIA: Katia Trofimova is a Russian pole artist, ballet dancer, and Cirque du Soleil performer currently featured in the touring production Luzia, where her striking pole solo blends classical ballet elegance with powerful pole sport and circus dynamics. A laureate of international pole competitions and former soloist with the prestigious Eifman Ballet in Russia, Katia's signature style fuses rigorous ballet training with contemporary pole and aerial elements, creating performances full of strength, grace, and audacity. She teaches with passion and precision, emphasizing proper technique, injury prevention, creativity, and the pure joy of movement for artists of all levels.

Jérôme Sordillon is a professional circus artist and coach with over 15 years of international experience, including 10 years with Cirque du Soleil. He is currently touring with Luzia.
Trained at the National Circus School of Montreal, he specializes in aerial straps, hand-to-hand, and acrobatic disciplines.
Alongside his performing career, he is also a photographer, bringing a unique creative eye to movement, body expression, and performance. He now shares his knowledge with passion, focusing on technique, safety, creativity, and the joy of movement for students of all levels.

Dance Trapeze Workshop Catch Me If You Can: All The Ways In and Out of Catcher Description: In this 90 minutes workshop, we’ll cover all the ways to enter and exit the catcher position on dance trapeze—from dynamic movements to sneaky entries. You’ll learn how to use catchers as a building block for creating unique and authentic sequences. We’ll cover:
Drills for strength, timing, and technique
How to seamlessly transition into other moves
Safe experimentation with different variations
By the end, you’ll have greater confidence in incorporating catchers into your choreography and aerial practice.
Prerequisites: Intermediate aerialists. Must be comfortable inverting and have a solid grasp of basic dance trapeze.

Dance Trapeze Workshop Cross My Back : All the ways In and Out of Cross Back Description: In this 90-minute workshop we will dive into a variety of ways to enter and exit the cross back position. From dynamic movements to sneaky entries, we will explore how to use this movement as a building bloc to create authentic, flowing sequences.
Learning Outcomes: By the end of the session, you’ll have mastered 10+ unique pathways that will give you deeper understanding of what type of movements can lead you to this position. You will walk away with the confidence to create your own connections with ease. Most importantly, you will have fun exploring all the possibilities this move has to offer.
Pre-requisites: Participants should be comfortable with movements that lead to and stem from the cross back position. Please bring extra layers to protect your skin as we will be working with the ropes a lot.

Dance Trapeze Workshop Back Bone: Choreography on Dance Trapeze Description: This 90-min workshop is designed for aerialists eager to explore new ways of moving on the dance trapeze. In this class, we'll move beyond the traditional "pretty" poses and focus on creating fluid movement in the air using unique choreography. Students will dive into the importance of intentionality, discovering how different approaches to the same positions can drastically shift the way they read to an audience. The session’s emphasis will be on movement efficiency, allowing you to conserve energy while enhancing your expression.

Enya is a seasoned trapeze artist and Guinness World Record holder, with over a decade of teaching experience. A graduate from the National Circus School of Montreal (2015). She has built a reputation for her unique trapeze style, most notably featured in Luzia by Cirque du Soleil. Enya’s influence spans 31 cities across 10 countries, and she continues to inspire through her impactful online coaching. More than just an aerial coach, Enya is an artist on an ever-evolving journey of self discovery. As a mentor, she guides others through the challenges of a career in the aerial arts, encouraging them to navigate both the highs and lows of their journeys. Beyond the spotlight, Enya's narrative is woven with experiences resonating with many in the industry. After overcoming a life-threatening injury, she sees setbacks as personal messages that shape her path forward. Her years on tour have gifted her invaluable insights, which she now shares with her students, importing the lessons learned along the way. An open book committed to demystifying the life of a professional aerialist, Enya, with over 2000 performances, has weathered creative droughts, battled anxiety, and confronted fears. ABOUT: In each of the four workshops, students will learn various flips and slides on the hoop, hammock, and loop straps to highlight the dynamic nature of these apparatuses. Students will practice well-known poses and explore different drops and slides from these poses to add unique flair to their tricks.

WHO: About the Instructor | Dan Saab
At the age of 8, Daniel began his aerial artistry journey at Independent Lake Camp in Orson, Pennsylvania. Ten years later, he embarked on his professional career, performing in various locations across New Jersey and New York while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Studies at Montclair State University. At MSU, he developed a diverse skill set, including acting, dance, choreography, costume design, playwriting, directing, and stage management. By participating as a cast member and working on production teams, he gained a well-rounded understanding of both performance and production processes.To further his performance and coaching careers, Daniel enrolled in the Intensive Professional Program at Circus Warehouse NYC, where he trained daily in various forms of aerial arts, dance, and fitness. During this program, he had the opportunity to work with experts in their fields. His specializations include Aerial Hammock, Aerial Hoop, and Aerial Loop Straps, though he is also formally trained in Rope, Flying Trapeze, Tissu, Single-Point/Static Trapeze, and Contortion.Daniel began performing at renowned venues such as Oz New Orleans and The Slipper Room NYC. As his career progressed, he performed in large-scale shows at Universal Studios Orlando and Madison Square Garden. In addition to these, he has showcased his versatility through private events, corporate gigs, and competitions. When not performing, Daniel travels across the country and around the world, teaching workshops and private lessons.

Join us for a 20-hour Aerial Duo Masterclass where we will learn, refine and master duo trapeze specific techniques, learn the basics of connecting skills while enhancing artistic exploration. As well as acquiring a variety of new skills, you will be encouraged to push your creative boundaries and discover a unique vocabulary to flow seamlessly with your aerial duo partner.
This year we also bring you Introduction to Aerial Duo Workshop for beginners. No prerequisites for this level.

Biography
Marie-Christine Fournier possesses 16 years of extensive experience in the circus industry as a trapeze artist. She toured over a decade forCirque Du Soleiland collaborated with world-renowned companies such as the7 FingersandCirque Eloize, allowing her to develop a wide range of technical, artistic and methodological skills.
Over the past few years, Marie-Christine earned a Circus Arts Teacher Certification from the Montreal National Circus School and has built an exciting teaching portfolio. She has been teaching masterclasses, workshops and retreats around the world from North America, throughout Europe and Latin America to Circus arts passionate students to professional circus artists.
Thanks to her personal journey and unique life experiences, she is thrilled to share her technical knowledge with her students but also a deeper and more enriching understanding of the world of circus arts, which she enthusiastically shares in her workshops.
